A few weeks ago I accepted a "free" offer from Hydroderm. I was asked for my credit card number to cover the "shipping and handling". When I received the item I discovered that I had also inadvertently signed up for their autoship program.
I immediately got online and canceled my membership. A day or two later I received some lotion and a bill for over $47. I accepted the loss as being my fault for not reading the fine print, got online again and made certain that all further shipments would be canceled. I also found your website and read the other consumer complaintss on Hydroderm.
Each day I checked back to make sure that the company would not reinstate my account. My family left for three days on vacation and today I found in my email a notice informing me that the company had charged my card $55.90 and shipped my new order! Now I have jump through several hoops just to get the package back to the company AND I LOSE about $12.00 for shipping and handling. WHY?
I called my credit card company to stop payment and received the toll free number given to my bank on the credit card statement. The number was bogus. I called the 1-888-460-5888, no luck.
In short - I've been duped. I feel like an idiot. All this because I wanted to try a little sample of wrinkle cream. I hope someone benefits from my mistake.
