Great Expectations
Turned out to be an expensive, great disappointment

If you are one of those persons, considering signing up this company, you must read this first, for I guarantee you it will cost you valuable time, countless effort, and money. I was one of those people who thought investing in this dating service would provide me with opportunities to meet other dating singles, which would result in me meeting the man of my dreams, a lifetime partner and mate.

I was promissed during the personal consultation and interview phase that they would give me a personal shopper, who would assist me with finding a compatible mate. I signed up with this company in October of And to date, I have yet received any referrals regarding any potential compatible candidates. I called their office mutiple times complaining "Where is my personal shopper?". The receptionist taking the phone call, states she would pass the message onto someone in member services, and that they would get bak to me.

After calling with this same complaint for over 8 months, someone finally returns my call, and states they sent me a questioner in the mail, and that I needed to complete this form in order to receive personal shopper services. I asked the question "Why do I need to complete this form?"

They stated I needed to complete this form, so that they could know what type of person I'm looking to be matched up with. I replied " When I came into your office for the first time I completed an intensive interveiw, as well as a questinaire that took me 2 hours to complete explaining my likes, dislikes, and the type of person I was looking for, Why do I need o complete this information again, when I provided this information to you previously?" I suggested the represenative pull my file and familiarize herself with my information.

The represenative stated she could do nothing until I completed the form, Not to mention the fact I completed the form, sent it into them, waited two months and called to see if they received it. They stated they had not received it. So to date I still have not received my so-called personal shopper. During the consultation process, Great Expectations staff promised me that I would be married, to my dream match in no less than 13 referrals, and if this did not happen, they would work with me until this happened, because making matches that resulted in marraige was their specialty.

They stated that since I was attractive, educated, and articulate, making a love match that would result in marraige, was not a problem, and this would be acheived through the personal shopper. They also assured me that they were going to give me a lifetime membership to seal the deal. The Manager predicted I would be married in less than 4 months. Immediately after this I took a whole bunch of photographs, which amounted to 5 sheets, which cost me over$500.00 (I could have gotton a better package deal at Wal-Mart). Also, they had a video on line system in addition to the personal shopper, in which you read a person's profile, and pick a potential member on-line (by computer). It's been my experience that just because the person's profile and photographs were listed did'nt mean they were an active member in their system although they definitely gave you the impression that they were active and available and all you had to do was chhose them, and then call into the office, speak with the receptionist, and they would tell you if the person responded with a yes (they are interesed) or a no (they are not).

The problem I had with this is that, I called the receptionist multiple times and they gave me information stating the person said yes, I would exchange my personal contact information, but with some people they would not give me their personal contact information, advising me to wait until they contacted me. So - I waited and waited and waited. Then finally I would check the members website again and persons profile status would miraculosly change to an on hold status, check back later. So-I'm sure you already figured out we never connected. Just like I figured out all the people they say are active members really are not, they keep these people in their data base to give you the impression that they are potential candidates, and really are not.

This is nothing more than a bogus mis representation. It would be interesting to find out through investigation how many members are in fact active members verses the ones who are not, who they continue to mis-represent as members, and continue to deceive the customer. Also with great expectations they expect you to pay a monthly fee $29.08 in addition to the outragous fee for service of $3000.00 which is to include the so-called personal shopper I never got. I reported to the organization that I was not getting what I paid for and what was promissed to me, and that I would stop making payments by bank draft if they did not correct the problem.

So one day when I tried to access the member website with my log-on ID, they suspended my access. So I called the organization to find out why I did not have access, and was informed that since I stopped making payments, they suspended my access and said if I did'nt continue with the payments they would report me to the credit bureau. I explained to them that they needed to assist me in correcting my problem. They said they would address my issues of concern. To date they have not. Please don't make the same mistake I did paying an astronomical price for services promissed but not rendered.
