I just want to pre warn all you people who are loney and looking for love. There are organizations such as Great Expectations who prey upon individuals such as us. I was recently divorced and and looking for MR RIGHT. This organization sent me an invitation through the mail claiming to help me find MR RIGHT. I called them on the phone, spoke with one of their represenatives, who made an appointment for me to come into their office to discuss my desires and preferences regarding a mate. I went into the office and meet with dating consultant. We discussed in depth what type of person I was looking for, given complete specifics. I was in her office for almost 4 hours discussing my preferences. Ths dating consultant told me she could guarantee they could accomodate me regarding they specific type of man I was looking for, and was confident that I would be married in a years time, and if this did'nt happen as they anticipated, they would continue to work with me by providing me with an undetermined amount of referrals until this happened to my satisfaction. The dating consultant stated she felt that I was a physically attractive female, professional, and very well educated, and she did'nt forsee any problems, and she was confident that they could provide a service that will meet all my espectations for a mere $3,500.00 and this included a personal shopper and a clause that since my desire was to be married, they would work with me until this happened. She then showed me a photo album booket of some of the male members they had, and she stated that a personal shopper would be working with me, and I could also make selections as well regarding those I may be interested in. I signed the contractual agreement and signed up for the service. After signing up for the service they told me I had to complete a video and pictures for my profile, then cost me an extra $200.00 or more depending on the package you choose, this was over and beyond the $3,500 I had already spent. They then told me that there was an extra fee of $29.00 a month to access their internet service, of which I could access their data base of pictures and profiles of eligible men I may be interested in. This $29.00 monthly fee was over and beyond the $3,500.00 fee I had already paid. Because I resided 2 and a half hours away from their office it was inconvienyant for me to come into their office to veiw photos and profiles of prosects, so i had no choice but to pay the $29.00 monthly service fee for web access because this was more conveiyant. I found the pickings to be very slim, and when I would make selections regarding potential prospects that I may have an interest in they would be on hold or the majority of them would'nt even respond until months later if they would respond at all. I also found that some of the prospects that great expectations had as available bachelors, who they had featured as active, some responded to me stating they had cancelled their membership months ago, and some years ago, and they were not interested in the service any longer, and they were appauled that great expectations was still featuring their photographs and profiles as if they were still eligible and active in their database. And finally the so called personal shopper never called me. I had to call them to inquire about it, and when she finally called me back, she gave me to referrals. I went out with both referrals and I found out that one guy abused women physically and no problem telling me so, and the other guy was unemployed and did'nt even have a job, and not to mention everytime I made a selection on their database of someone I may be interested in, they profiles were placed on hold, or they would not respond, or it was months would pass, and the responses were very few if any... And great expectations were steady billing me and expected to get paid. When I called them to complain about the two referrals and people they set me up to go out with. I found out then that they don't even do criminal backround checks on these people, so they could set you up with a serial killer and you not know it, and they don't care because they don't even bother to check. I must say that my experience has been an undesirable and dissapointing one. This company is one that preys upon unsuspecting victims, they make a whole lot of promises they don't keep. They will promise you the whole world to get you to sign up for their service, and agree to their contractual agreement, and after you sign it they don't care who they hook you up with. And they definitely don't care whether you make a love connection or not. ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS GETTING YOUR MONEY! I found that the multiple compaints I made to this office were unresolved and ignored, but yet they still wanted to get paid for a service the did'nt provide. It was an expensive lesson for me to learn but I learned... Basically I paid for a service I did not get because they perpetrated THE SERIOUS FRAUD!!! I paid for the priviledge of skimming through profiles and photographs of people who were no longer members, and going out with a convict and someone that did'nt even have a job. And the cost of this? Well over $ 6000.00 and for what. I feel I was taken to the cleaners... Because the amount of money i spent they should have hooked me up with BRAD PITT, DENZEL WASHINGTON. What I got was nothing. Please beware of organizations like this, and please don't make the same mistake I made. These companys are out for themselves and they don't give a darn about you.
