On April 20, I purchased from Patricia DeCoite of Mortgage Professionals a 2001 Hyundai, Santa Fe for $11,800.00 in a cashier's check and $200.00 in cash for a total of $12,000.00. Unfortunately, she had no title and promised to provide it in 30 days. Both parties signed a Bill of Sale.
After 30 days I contacted Ms. DeCoite regarding the title and she still did not have it. It has now been close to 120 days and no title has been provided. When I contacted Ms. DeCoite her response was she is waiting for two big checks to come and that I could go ahead and get an attorney because she would have my title before I could get a lawyer.
My 2001 Hyundai, Santa Fe has been repossessed by Ford Motor Credit Company who informed me that they have a lien on the vehicle for $12,000 to date (8/4/04).
