CIT/Veriquest sold my mortgage in 2007 to another lender. I recently sold my home and Veriquest advised they had a lien on the property on Sept. 4th. I contacted them and they agreed it was an error (Mr Charles Barnes - Rep). They advised they issued a release of the title to NationWide on Sept. 4. I contacted them again on Sept 19th, and advised them the title had not been released, they said they would escalate. On Oct. 14, I contacted them again and spoke to Mr. Rios who advised they sent a letter to my title company for the sale of my home and the title was released on Oct. 3. However, the title company never received anything and the sale of my house is in jeopardy of being cancelled. They keep giving me the run around and now my home sale is on the edge of being cancelled and I live in another state!!
