On June 14, I ordered a Micro*Touch Hair Trimmer set. During the course of the telephone call, I was offered a "special deal" for a "home savings program."
I told the operator that the only thing I was interested in ordering was the hair trimmer. She was persistent, despite my disinterest in the "program." During her "pitch" she told me that I would receive an information packet in the mail, I again told her that I was not interested.
One and a half months later, I find out that the charge card that I used to purchase the Micro*Touch Hair Trimmer set is being charged $139.95 for this MWI Homeworks Plus program that I never requested, in fact very adamently declined!
I checked online and obtained a telephone number for MWI Homeworks Plus, and called them. I was transferred three times, explained my situation to each of these individuals.in the process it was explained to me that they could reduce the rate by $60. And again was told of the wonderful benefits of this program.
Finally, after a ten minute conversation of explaining that I never agreed to be a part of this program nor did I receive the "information packet" that I was told I should have received, I convinced the operator that under no uncertain terms was I interested in the program and that all I wanted was a full refund.
I told the operator the only way that he could assist me was to cancel my membership and issue me a FULL refund. He told me that my membership would be cancelled and that I should see the refund on my credit card statement within two business days.
I called back to verify the cancellation of my membership. I spoke with another individual who did verify that my membership had indeed been cancelled, and reminded me that it could take two business days for this to be reflected.
