I applied for this job after researching information on it. I felt I was thorough in researching by calling the place where the job was posted (careerbuilders.com), BBB, Etc... They assured me all the companies are safe and not some scam.
So on 4/27/04 I made a payment with a gentleman over the phone. He assured me within 7 days I would be receiving my "kit" in the mail by UPS. Someone from the company called approx. 5 days later welcoming me and stating that my headset and work papers will be sent and I should receive them within 5-7 days again by UPS.
Today is 5/20/04 I still have yet to receive any headset or work papers. Several calls have been made to this company. They promise someone will call me or email me. They state there is a back log of request for headsets which are mailed directly from the manufacture.
Kevin Chambers at the staffing dept of iws says he is remailing my work papers and will check on this headset for me. As of this day I still have not received any phone call or email from anyone, including Mr. Chambers. Needless to say I have been "dupe" by an online scam, even though I thought I had thoroughly invesigated the company.
