Simple Escapes Via Classmates.com and MWI 30 day free trial scam to get credit card number. Rip-off! Internet

When I joined Classmates.com and upgraded to the Gold Member account, I got a web page for a free trial of Simple Escapes. They claim you get a free 30-day trial. If you DON'T cancel in the 30 days, they will charge $9.95 a month to the credit card you used for Classmates.com

Well, I tried to cancel it right away after finding out how many people are being scammed by them. I was told by their rep that they can't cancel my account becasue I don't have a username and password... It takes a few days for them to process/open the account and I should receive an email from them supplying me with the username and password. Once I receive that I can then call and cancel the account.

Tomorrow will be the 30th day and I still have not received a username and password from Simple Escapes. However, I DID receive an answer from them regarding the situation. They want me to send them my full name, adress and phones number AND previous address and phone number, and that would help them locate my account that they cannot seem to find.

I did not have to supply that information to Classmates.com. The only information that Classmates.com shared with Simple Escapes was my email address and credit card number. I beleive that the only reason they wanted the information is so they could hunt me down when they realize that I used my local bank DEBIT card and not a credit card. I immediately went to my bank and cancelled that debit card number so they could not use it.

I fear that Simple Escapes will try to start collection activity against me for an account I've never used, never got a "free trial" as you have to have a username and password to get into your account, and I fear they will put something on my credit report. WHEN IS SOMEBODY GOING TO SUE THAT PLACE FOR FRAUD!?
