I signed up for a $25 free gift card at Lowes with zero indication of further responsibility. Within weeks, my credit card was being charged and I had no contract, no gift card, and no information on where the charge originated or how to cancel it.
Thank goodness for this consumer complaints website. I was able to cancel my so-called membership, but was not credited for the 3 charges that were already posted to my card. The "customer affairs" rep Joan said she verified my address, so it is my fault if I didn't receive anything. What??? How convenient for them, a self-proclaimed company with millions of customers... I hope not... Millions of people getting ripped of monthly? Somebody stop these people!
