Enrollment at Virginia College at Columbia, SC 3/29/10 a couple week before classes (this school just opened) I talked with the finacal aid department. I asked if they accepted Veterans Education Benifits. They told me they did and I would be able to start school 4/7/10. And I did. Well as time went on, I started asking if they heard anything from the VA. (I am eligable for Chapter 35 benifts, the VA pays me 925 per month to be a full time student, and my GI bill pays for school) They made me sign a letter which Heather explained the check went to the school (She failed to tell me that it would be my Chapter 35 benifits which are for me, would go to the school.) Only when the VA sent me a letter saying I am eligable for benifits but, my school was not able to recieve VA education benifts!!! I was shocked I been lied to!!! When I talked to the VA on three different occasions they said they were not VA certified!!! Even thought when I enrolled they told me they were! I didn't know I had to go behind the school and see if they were lying! But I should have! I fill so ripped off!!! Turns out it takes 2 years to be VA certifed.
