In October two other people and I bought Hi-Val - I/O Magic 100 pack CD-R's at Office Max with a promised $20 rebate on each. Nobody had money but me so I let them put their purchase on my credit card. We followed all the rebates rules and deadlines... 1 product, 1 rebate, 1 household, and 1 sales receipt per person. I/O Magic is denying all 3 claims because my name is on the credit card used for all 3 separate receipts.
There is no mention in the rules about payment requirements. I have gone through their website filling out reports to resolve the problem and they ignored me. I then called them and was referred to a supervisor with the promise she would call me back upon returning to her desk. I'm still waiting for that call. I called again and got sent to the "leave us a message and we'll call you right back" voice mail.
I'm still waiting for that call as well. I have searched the Internet and found that Hi-Val - I/O Magic is not honoring many of their rebates and are ignoring all their customers. Office Max is also not doing anything about all the complaints.
