Similar to the heart-attack victim with no refund, I have not received a refund from Dec. It's 7/09
Sales/recruiter will tell you there are only 1 or 2 spots left in class. I was told the training was in Roanoke, where I live. I said, that's great, I won't have to get housing or travel more than 10 minutes for school. I found out later it was in Wytheville, about a 65-75 minute drive. I called Wytheville, gave them a bunch of questions, then called the recruiter back. Mgr at Wytheville and recruiter had so many contradictions. I cancelled and requested a refund. The contract says you have 3 days to cancel. That was in Dec '08
Still waiting on $395 refund after contacting mgr and recruiter, and receptionists at Wytheville more than 15 times since last year. I was promised it repeatedly. Recruiter said one time the mgr told him check was in the mail. I asked the Wytheville Mgr and he said it wasn't in the mail and he was waiting on a response from corporate (the mysterious people you will never receive contact info. For) First time, recruiter had said it would be refunded on the credit card I used.
After 2 months the mgr apologized, said he had left "a paper he needed to sign for the refund on someone's desk" and would resolve the issue immediately. Any time I called back I'd tell him to call me with updates ASAP. He would promise, and not call me back. I was told, when I requested, that I could not get the contact info. Of the people who do the refunding. When I asked the mgr he would not say what he had done to "follow up" and would say things like, "the man I need to speak to at corporate is out for the week." (that was after waiting 4 months for a refund. Not a week after.). I was told many times he was in a meeting. Lot of meetings, must be hard to get work done.
Check the better business bureau for similar situations. This company needs to honor it's refunds written on the contracts. And all I want is the exact amount owed in refund, nothing extra. I even let them know ahead of time I would post on the internet, what I've been through, if no refund. Yet, they still are giving the run-around.
