I have been attending the University of Phoenix for 3 months. Like many other people I was rushed into enrolling. At the time of enrollment I was quoted one price, but as the weeks went on I began to receive a different story every time I called. Most of the time I would just get the run around, or the counselors would say they were going to call me back and never do so. I learned next to nothing in the 3 classes I took.
All the classes had weird names that I wasn't familiar with. It felt like I took the same class 3 times. When I tried to switch to online classes I was then quoted yet another price, which was outrageously high, and told that my financial aid would only cover partial payments, and I would have to pay a large portion on my own. This is not what was explained to me at the time of enrollment. I am outraged!
I feel like I was singed up under false pretences. I would have never agreed to this if they had been truthful. I am now seeking advice and/or cooperation from anyone who has gotten out of their contract. I feel I was lied to and that I shouldn't have to pay for the 3 classes I attended, that weren't worth the money anyway. I am meeting with an attorney in a few days. We have to stop them. This school is nothing but a rip off! I am so dissapointed.
