I signed up for the Tax Lien program at the Financial Power Summit in Calgary - www.financialpowersummit.com. First, I did not receive my package in the mail the next day that was promised when I paid. So I got my package on the 2nd day, I decided to get a refund after taking a look of the materials which I do not see it valuing at the price I paid. I requested a refund through phone and email to Ted Carey, Quality Assurance Specialist and he emailed back the procedure. I followed the procedure and ship the package back the same day. And then, things got ugly, the Buyer's Right to Cancel agreement states that "the seller has 16 days to refund" my money, which lasted over 2 months. I had to repeatedly call their customer service center which takes at least 20 minutes every time before I can speak with someone, and had been lied to several times that the refund is processed, they had even lied to me one time that they will be sending me a check with the amount that I paid in Canadian Dollars so I would not lose in the currency exchange. I also call Ted Carey and he totally takes off all responsibility, saying that the situation is out of his hands and I can only deal with this with their customer service line (the one that takes forever to get to.)
I finally got my refund back in the USD amount that I paid for back in April, I am not happy that I have to pay the difference in the currency exchange now since I was suppose to receive my refund back in April and not after 2 months. This company has broken the "Buyer's Right to Cancel" agreement and is not willing to take any responsibility for their repeated lies over the phone regarding the status of my refund.
