I submitted a poem to poetry.com thinking that i was entering a contest.
It claimed to have one monthly prize of 1000.00 and a annual prize of 10,000.00
They also had another contest called poetry in motion where they supposedly awarded 100.00 per day.
It's a big fat hoax.
I knew whe i recieved a letter that said the wanted to publish my poem it was too good to be true.
First of all the address they provided was 1 poetry plaza, i knew that had to be fake.
What are the chances that a business sucha s this had a whole street named after them.
Throughout the whole letter they offer you to buy a copy of the book they are going to publish your poem in in advance.
They priced it at 49.95 and charged an additional 25.00 if you wanted to include an artist profile. How can you purchase a book that has not yet been prinbted yet? They ask for us dollars or credit card numbers.
Thnak god i didn't do any of this. They also offer tell you that you are going to recieve an invitation to the 2003 summer convention and symposium to be held in washington d. C august 15-17.
All this company is is a big fat hoax and how dare they mess with people's emotions like that. They need to be shut down a.S. Ap!
