I had my negative thought's about tct talent, one evening was watching the news and tct was mentioned on there about the complaint's BBB. Have been recieving about there company. I was even more upset to hear that my thought's and feeling's were more of a reality now.
My experience with TCT is on the day after thanksgiving, in Portland 0r wich we live near this area they have a yearly tradition where they have a big Chrismas tree lighting, singing everyone celebrating the beginning of the holiday season. I have two beatiful talented daughter's that are 11&16 they went to the celebration that evening, and also my oldest daughter's boyfriend went, this woman soon approaches them and was going on about how they sounded so good singing, and they were all gorgious would they be interested in doing some modeling or television, told them how tct Lou Pearlman discovered nsync, and all kind's of other famous model's.
They came home that eve with tear's of joy all three of the kid's, going on about bieng discovered, my oldest daughter and her boyfriend have dreaming of bieng model's all of there lifes, they finally thought they got there big break. They had been working on getting modeling job's previous to this incident, so they were all excited about going to this open call tct was having and it was a one time only deal because you had to be scouted by one of the companies talent scouts to to be involved with there company and get all this publicity they would get there faces out there and get them discovered around the whole usa they had the look agencies were looking for, and on and on and these were kid's they were filling there head's full of that are very easily taken.
The open call was that following saturday, against my better judgement myself husband, and the three kid's went, I felt so bad they were crying, cause I did not want to do this, and thought it was a for sure thing that i was feeling so guilty that I could not take this dream away from them if it was the real thing. Went to the open call was about 40-50 people there, other's with multiple children like myself grown adult's all kind's of different people they had in there, im sorry but there was some pretty homely and over weight ones in there also.
My thought was well maybe there going to act or something, so did not give it much more thought. We went through all the crap the video you watch are there selling tactics how you are going to save so much with these comp cards they use, and with the job's you land it will pay for it's self in know time. Said we did not need professional pictures done, take our own for there comp cards. We got are interview times to be done over the phone before we left as they had to be with a rep from the florida based company, as all this open call stuff took place out of Hillsboro Oregon.
We had are interviews right away they made everything sound so good so I went and signed up with them on my daughters hopes and dream's and some financial agreement's with her that she was going to help pay for the cost. She and I have paid alright in more way's tnan one, then they have a third appointment wich we knew nothing about that you had to do, had to go back where the open call was held to be shown how the sight work's and wanted pictures put on her comp card, they found some thing wrong with your pictures of course.
You guessed it oh we can give you a great deal on photo shoot we are having a professional come into do great price only 900.00 trying to get you to come oh it will make so much diferrence and your comp card will get asked to be seen more on and on. No we did not fall for that one I just wanted to get the hell out of there, by this time my daughter started wondering if this was the real thing. Couple week's later they send her a email saying some one had requested to see her comp card but nothing more ever came of it.
Recieved a phone call to invite her to a event in miami and said only selected model's were chosen to attend this event, and yes it's all at your own expence. Called for a second event a message was left about it, well after the other event found to be a big expence we chose to ignore there call when they called back and did not return there call's, matter of fact I contacted tct today by the way they have three names of companies they use, but they are only one, i found out when calling there today as they were over charging my credit card and i wanted to know why? I told them i was cancelling there services at once, they had?
As to why flat out told them its has not did anything for my daughter but to keep coming up with way's to get more money out of us, so we'll see where it goes from hear as they owe me some money for the over charge, and I would really like to have my 795.00 they took from me by all there dishonesty and my daughter's broken dream's and lack of trust in people for her future with modeling, lucky my youngest girl it was not her dream.
What happened with the boyfriend and his dream he was talked into giving them his checking account# and convinced him they would give him some time to see if he could get the money from a relative or something they took the money from his account he got all kind's of bad check fee's almost lost his account from the bank ruined his auto insurance cancelled and ever thing thank's to TCT. Had to send lot's of letter's phone call's long distance call's being ignored would not return his money it was a big headache.
He was a newly high school graduate out trying to make a life for himself and living on his own for about 7 month's when this all happened and screwed him up big time. S are advece please do not pay anyone to do modeling they should pay you. If any info if i can get my 795.00 back or who to notify please let us know, we are a lower class family.
