I responded to a news paper ad for my daughter and I for acting and modeling. Well we go to Ariza Modeling and Talent in Longwood, Florida and speak to Ashley, JEFF CALLENDER's assistant. I was told we would be perfect for up coming events. We were told to bring in pictures of our daughter in to them to look at.
Well we took some pictures of our daughter to Ariza and they told us that our pictures were no good and we would need them to take pictures of her and at first we didn't have a whole lot of money to put out at first. Well our daughter looks so natural. She really is something. Anyway I paid a little over $300.00 for them to put her pictures on comp cards. Well the pictures came out great.
Ashley also stated to me that I would need to get my pictures done too because there was this movie with Larry the Cable Guy and I would be the perfect part in the movie and I would have a speaking role and it was going to be about 3 lines worth. Well I was really excited about this whole idea. I got my pictures done. I did put out over $600.00 for everything for me. Totaling about $900.00 or so for both of us.
Yes our daughter did get a part and she was in the Disney Commercial "Finding Nemo on Ice". But we never got called on any other auditions for her. They said her pictures were no good. Anyway on my comp cards and pictures I only got 2 little parts. An Americian Express Commercial Staring Tiger Woods that shot on November 1&2 2004 and a International Pool Tour that both aired in January. I never did recoupe the money that I spent for the pictures and comp cards.
I kept on calling and never did get through to anyone and they finally told us there was no work. I don't like shady people and companys and JEFF CALLENDER is not out to please his talent and get them work. When we did the job we did not get paid right away. It took over 2 months or so for us to get paid. Again we had to keep calling and calling in order to get paid.
Finally we gave up on Ariza Modeling and Talent after months and months trying to get work from them. I think they make more money from talent paying for pictures and comp cards than getting paid from real work. If Ariza Modeling & Talent and JEFF CALLENDER keeps this crap up both of them will loose the business. I think that everyone who's been scammed by JEFF CALLENDER and Ariza Modeling & Talent needs to get refunded. Just leave your name and contact information on how I can get in contact with you. We need to all get together a place a class action law suit against JEFF CALLENDER and Ariza Modeling and Talent Agency for Fruad.
We need to stop Ariza Modeling and Talent and JEFF CALLENDER scamming us talent and future talent. Don't promise something and not keep your promise to people. Ariza took too long to complete my pictures and comp cards then they said oh sorry they closed the dead line, and since your pictures were not done yet, you didn't get picked for the Movie part with Larry the Cable Guy. Beware of this company and any other company wanting any money up front.
