We experienced about the same thing as any other victim of United Express Vanlines, the Israeli criminal ring.
We made move from Kansas City, MO to Rockford, IL on Jan. 9th. The move was being paid by my husband's company as the move was with his job. We got the internet quote for $2800.00. They came a day early, like someone else who filed a report - don't know why they do that?
They got there 3 hrs. Late and loaded into the night. They claimed at the end that we owed them $7,000.00 and needed the money now. We told them they were nuts and they knew the company was paying the move on delivery and had already paid the hefty deposit. My husband had money order overnighted for $3,000.00 so we could have our stuff two days later in Rockford, IL.
Well, they came late January 11th, bringing half of our goods to our apartment as the other half was going into storage until we closed on a house here. We are moving the 18th of April into our new house and all we have is mattresses on the floor, winter clothes and kitchen essentials as this was a temporary living situation.
We found out two days ago of the FBI indictment and are working with them to recover our belongings. We hope this ring of Israeli criminals goes down in flames. Never in my life have I felt so affected by the evil nature of some people. I am hoping that our items will be recovered, but expect the worst. Dealing with the loss of items like wedding pictures, new furniture, and my grandma's hope chest makes me sick and can't believe I watched these heartless crooks carry them out my front door.
This just goes to show you can't trust anyone and we never will again.By the way, someone's entry was from Schaumberg, IL close to us in Rockford - let me know if you have any info about where they store in this area. We are contacting all storage places in Rockford of the FBI situation, but assume our stuff was tossed in some unmarked warehouse.
