On May 22, I bought a new 60 Projection TV from Daves TV & VCR Dave from Daves TV sold me this television and explains that this television was brand new and never used. He got it because the cabinet had scratches on it and Best Buy couldnt sell it because of the scratches. He told me he removed it from its original box. He sold me this television with all warranties.
On May 25th the New Television arrived. Daves TV arrived with a pick-up truck and five big men. Four big men carried the set and Dave balanced it.
On or about August 5th, I called Daves TV to report that in the middle of our screen was a red dot. One of Daves Techs stated that a Blue bulb went bad and it was okay to run the set. The damage is already done. He then stated that he would order the replacement part and install it. It should take a couple of weeks to come in.
On September 17th I called Daves TV again to see what the status was on the blue bulb.
On September 19th Dave and his Tech John arrived at my house to make sure they ordered the right part. Dave and John then removed the back of the set and did what ever they do. They confirmed that it was with out a doubt the blue bulb. They informed me that they were going to fix the problem in my house, it will take three days. They left my house with the screws removed from the back of the set and left the screws on the floor.
On October 10th I called and asked what the status was on my Television. They informed me that the part hasnt arrived yet. And they were expecting it any day now.
On October 24th I called again to see what the status was. They stated they wanted to get the television in their shop to fix it and that the part was in. Daves TV said they were going to pick up the set that very night.
I called Daves TV the next day to see why they didnt show up to get the television the night before. Daves TV stated they would pick up the Television on Saturday October 26th. I informed Daves TV that I would cancel my plans for that day and wait for them.
I again called Daves TV and was told that the person who owns the truck that was needed to get the Television never showed up. Daves TV promised that they would pick it up this very day. At 3:30 pm I called Daves TV and asked if they were coming for the Television. Daves TV informed me that their technician was on his way. At 4:30 pm Dave arrived with his Tech, in a small mini van.
Dave took a blanket out of the mini van and used it as a measuring tape; he concluded that the Television wouldnt fit in the mini van.
While Dave was stretching the blanket tape his tech informed me that the part was in and all they had to do was go and get it. He introduces himself as John. John the Tech stated that this wasnt a big deal and we would have the set back in three days.
On Monday October 28th Daves TV arrived to pick up the television. Two men arrived, John the Tech and Cheego the truck owner. I informed the two men that it took four big men and Dave to balance it when it was delivered. They just ignored me and started to remove the television. This was too much television for just two men to handle. They rolled it to the door and then let it bounce down each step one at a time. There are four steps and that television bounced down each one. When the set was on the cement walk way they rolled it to the truck, and lifted into the back, closed the door and left. The television wasnt tied down.
On October 31 I waited for a call from Daves TV to inform me that my Television was fixed. That call never came. On Saturday November 2nd I called Daves TV to ask what the status was on my television, and why I didnt hear from them. The secretary informs me that the part they thought was in wasnt the part for my Television, and to call back next week.
On November 7th I called Daves TV to check the status of my Television again. The secretary informed me that the part was in and that the Television would be delivered on Saturday the 9th. I called Daves TV on Saturday the 9th to confirm that the Television would still be delivered. I was told that it would be delivered before 4:00PM. The Television never arrived. Not even a phone call to cancel. Again I stayed home all day for nothing.
On November 12th at 9:30 I called to check the status of my television set and why it wasnt delivered on Saturday the 9th as promised. That was when I was informed by their secretary that she was the Monday thru Friday secretary. I talked to the Saturday secretary and she didnt know what she promised. So now I asked the Monday thru Friday secretary what the status of my television was. She said that she would check on it and call me right back. The Monday thru Friday secretary never called me back.
On November 13th I called Daves TV to check the status of the Monday thru Friday secretary on the status of my television set. The Monday thru Friday secretary stated that the Television was still broke. I asked if I could talk to Dave. The Monday thru Friday secretary said Dave wasnt available but I could talk to John the Tech about my Television. John the Tech explained to me that he replaced the blue bulb and discovered that the television had another problem with its mother board. He stated that he already ordered a new mother board from the factory. John the Tech said that factory had the board and that UPS would be delivering it. John the Tech Promised that I would with out a doubt have the television before Thanksgiving.
On November 27th I again called Daves TV to check on what time they would deliver my television. The Monday thru Friday secretary stated that they were still working on the television and that it should be all set for Saturday and for me to call.
On Saturday November the 30th I called Daves TV to check on the status of my television. I asked the I only work on Saturday secretary what the status of my television is. She stated that she didnt know and would check on it. And would call be back in ten minutes. Two hours later I called Daves TV to check the status of the I only work on Saturday secretary to hear what Dave told her. She informed me that the television was fixed and they ran it all day Friday and is ready to be delivered. She said that they were waiting for Cheego the truck owner to arrive to deliver my television. She said that I would have it today.
On December 2nd I called Daves TV to check on the status of my television and why it wasnt delivered on Saturday November 30th. I asked the Monday thru Friday secretary if they were going to deliver my television today. She said no the television was not working yet and that Dave didnt know what the problem is. I explained to her that I was told on Saturday that the television was fixed and that you people ran it all day Friday and it was ready for delivery. She said she didnt know, and for us to call back on Wednesday December 4th.
On December 4th I called Daves TV to check on the status of my television. I talked to the Monday thru Friday secretary. She said that the television was fixed and ready for delivery. The delivery would take place today; all they were waiting for was cheego the truck owner. I called Daves TV at 4:30PM to see if my television was on its way. The Monday thru Friday secretary informed me that Cheego the truck owner was nowhere to be found and that my television would not be delivered today, call back on Friday!
On Friday December 6th I called Daves TV to check on the status of my Television. I talked to the Monday thru Friday secretary and she started that the television was fixed and that it would defiantly be delivered on Saturday between 12:00 and 2:00. She stated that she would leave the I only work on Saturday secretary a note. On Saturday December 7th, I called Daves TV to confirm the delivery of my Television. I talked to the I only work on Saturday secretary and asked her if my television was still going to be delivered today. She said she didnt know and that she would ask Dave, and for me to hold. When she returned she stated that Dave said that I would have the Television between 12:00 and 2:00.
I called Daves TV at 12:00 to see if there were still going to deliver my television. She then stated that they were going to delivery my television after 4:00.
I then expand that I had errands to do and that I needed to know what time they would deliver. She said that I could do my errands and to give her a call when I return. I cancel most of my plans that could be canceled to be home at 4:00. I called Daves TV at 4:00 to let the I only work on Saturday: secretary know I was home. She then informed me that I wasnt going to get my television because it was broken and they didnt know what was wrong. I then told her that I wanted to talk to Dave or John the Tech. She stated that both of them were not there and that she would give them the message and they would return my call that night.
Nobody returned my call.
On Monday December 9th we went to Daves TV to check the status of our Television. At 11; 00 we arrived at Daves TV. We introduced ourselves to the Monday thru Friday secretary and asked to see Dave. The Secretary told us that Dave wasnt in yet and that he would return between 12:00 and 1:00. I asked her what was going on with our television. And she said that as far as she knew the television was working and that she watched it all day Friday. And that it was suppose to be delivered on Saturday. We told her that we would return at 12:00.
At 12:45 we returned back at Daves TV to talk to Dave. When we arrived the Secretary informed us that Dave was going to be late and that we should talk to John the Tech.
John the Tech came out of the back room to see us. We asked him what was going on with our television. He stated that the Chasie was giving him problems and he needed to ground some components. He then impressed us with his technical nomenclature. John informed us that the mother board came from another television set. And it worked find in that set. I asked John the Tech when we would get our television. John the Tech promised that it would be today. We asked him to swear to god that it would be today. He said that Cheego the truck owner was coming in today. And if Cheego the truck owner didnt show then he would rent a truck to deliver it.
At 5:00 PM I called Daves TV to check the status of my television and when it was going to arrive at our house. John the Tech said that the television wasnt going to be delivered because Cheego the truck owner didnt show up. I asked John the Tech what happen to renting a truck. John stated that Dave wasnt going to do that. I then informed John the Tech that we were going there tomorrow morning at 9:30AM to get our money back.
On Tuesday December 10th John the Tech called me at 9:10AM to tell me that my television would be delivered at 4:00PM today. John the Tech said that the television was fixed and running and that Cheego the truck owner would deliver it at 4:00PM. I asked John the Tech what if Cheego the truck owner didnt show up again. He said that Cheego the truck owner had already made plans with the money he would get. I said that I would wait till 4:00PM.
At 4:15PM the Monday thru Friday secretary calls to inform us that we were not getting our television.
She stated that it played and then started to smoke. I asked to talk to either John the Tech or Dave. She informed me that neither one of them were there. They stepped out. I explain to the Secretary that enough is enough and I wanted my money back. I told her that we would be in tomorrow to get it. Her statement to me was that she doubted if Dave would return our money.
