Like everyone else I signed up to get my free credit report. My only purpose was to make sure that a false reporting from SPRINT was cleared off my credit report before trying to buy a house. I got my report emailed to me after several hours. I immediately called up and cancelled. A few weeks later I received my credit card bill and of course there was the $79.95 charge.
I called them up and they assured me that it would be credited on tne next bill. So I paid the bill, like an idiot, to avoid finance charges. I never did get a credit from CIC. Surprise!
