My daughter and I moved to Horn Lake, Ms this past August, I put $1000 down (earnest money) and was having a house built.
I went to Nelson L. Bridgeforth Taekwondo (ATA) to enroll her at this school. I signed a contract for her to start the classes, but I was told that I had to sign for the monthly fee to be taken from my checking account... I refused to sign for monies to be taken from my checking account. Mr. Bridgeforth stated that the only way that she could start the classes was that I would have to sign for the monthly fee to be taken from my checking account. Thinking the matter was settled I left.
Two months later the mortgage company for the house that I was buying told me that I would have to pay an outstanding bill that appeared on my credit report for $2970 dollars. I told them that I did not know of this bill and I was not going to pay it, as a result I lost the $1000 dollars earnest money on the house and cannot get the credit bureau to remove this bill from my credit report. I need legal advice... Thank You for your time and consideration
