Buy.com advertises "free shipping" on selected DVD's. Even if you select DVD's that have free shipping... Buy.com now adds a "handling fee". This "handling fee" appears to be based upon amount spent, so the more you spend, the larger the fee. Does this make sense? Not to me... Why should we pay for the right to buy something from them.
I wrote to complain... They said it was "industry standard". Again, I do not think so. Amazon.com or BestBuy.com do not charge a handling fee.
Now the real kicker... I ordered $43 worth of DVD's and on the online bill they added $2 (handling fee) bringing my total to $45. They then email me a confirmation of my order. On that email conformation, they said my total was $43.
They tried to "hide" the handling charge.By emailing me written notice that my charge was $43... And actually charging my credit card $45... Buy.com is committing... Fraud
