I was lied to by the sales person who sold me on attending Metropolitan College of New York. Everything they told me about the program was a lie. I spoke to the dean about my dissatisfaction with the program and I told him I was withdrawing from the school. I asked him what I needed to do in order to withdraw and he told me I needed to speak to the bursar's office. I spoke to the inept staff in the bursars office and financial aid and they told me all I needed to do was not cash my financial aid check. Three years after my terrible experience there I received a bill for $8,000. I was told i didn't fill out the correct form when I withdrew from classes. The dean confirmed we met and spoke about my withdrawing. They said it didn't matter, I didn't sign the correct form, therefore I owe them money. I owe them nothing, if anything they owe me money for the time I wasted there.
