I noticed a charge on my debit card for $96 from a company called MWI Connections. I did not have any dealings with this company so I called my bank to investigate. The bank gave me an 800# that just gave me a big automated voice run around.
I then went online and found among others this site about the illegal practices conducted by the parent organization MEMBERWORKS INC.
There are over 373 entries here alone about the fraudulent credit card practices by this company. If an individual was to take my card and charge on it without my permission they would go to jail. This company has been doing it for at least 2yrs known based on law suites filed by Attorney Generals of several states.
James Hoyer Newcomer & Smiljanich - Attorneys At Law have in fact filed a class action law suit against MWI and all its subsidieries. Go to that site and enter you name on the action.
I also contacted the telemarketing company that gave my information to them and advised them that I would be pursuing them as co-defendents for knowingly providing MWI my card number (which is also illegal) without my permission.
