I recieved a few free Help Me Be Good Books in a tote bag and thought they would be good for my 5 year old grandson.
I later recieved another shipment of about 6, which I looked though and thought, ok I'll keep and pay for these.
Well, about 2 weeks later I got a carton full with the bill for all of them. I kept them in the box and shipped back and asked not to send me any additional books as I was not interested.
I waited to recieve an updated bill and it never came. I too tried to look on the internet site and could not pull it up nor could I find a phone # to call. I finally got an 800 # and called and reviewed with the person how many books I kept and it was determined I owed and additional $40.87. I stated as soon as I recieved the updated bill I would gladly pay.
That never came, but only full bills and the Action Alert and a Collection Agency Assignment.
How does a business get away with this. Obviously they are ripping people off. "Help Me Be Good" books, what a laugh when they are not honest or "good".
If anyone has any information or ideas on what can be done I would be interested to find out. Now I can have this false charge on my credit report!!
