National Pilot Academy
Decietful and liars

I too was ripped off by National Pilot Academy. They force you into signing a contract do not live up to their end of the bargain. THey have since changed their website, but when I entered the program, the school advertized that they completed a student to their CFII in 4 months.

I started the school May and finally left after being messed around with for months on end in January. I had just completed my commercial license and would be forced to waid longer to get my CFI. This was not my fault, I was there ready every day. Their plane kept breaking down and they would not do everything in their power to lease another one or fix the ones they had like they promised.

They gave the students that were waiting for months on end no way out and no time frame of how long they would be waiting. I was not able to get a job in that time because no one will hire you when they don't know when you will have to suddenly up and leave for school again. NPA advised not having a job when in the program because it is set up on being 8 hours a day with at least 4 hours a day studying.

Also, after I already started the program, the school came out with a new contract or policy or whatever they call it that every student had to sign a year of employment before they would give them their CFI. This was not at all part of my agreement when entering the program. Because of all the lies and waiting, I had to leave the program.

I asked to get all of my money back that I had not yet used. I was told I could, but later they went back on their words again. It is now June and I have got nothing back. They said they only owe me about $1,000 out of the $45,000 that I gave them. Through this whole process I called NPA numerous times to try to get information and try to come to some sort of understanding and everyone from the corporate office management refuses to talk to me. They promised my my money back in 60 days.

After 60, I called them and they said they needed a copy of my logbook and a copy of my loan statements. Why they needed this or why they couldn't call me is beyond me. NPA is terribly disorganized. I was lied to on numerous occasions, and they are a scam. I doubt to ever see a penny back from them unless I seek some legal action. I am out ideas with this school and just wish that no one else get caught in the same scam. We would love to get the money back that we deserve.
