I took the service with UKI after being promised a 100 minute phone card, a check for $100.00 and 7 cents a minute on all my long distance calls.
My first bill showed calls at 14 cents a minute but no check or phone card came. I called and they did change my service to 7 cents (at least for a while). I asked about the calling card and the check. They said they'd mail the card but the check would not come til I had service with them for 90 days. I did receive the card not long after.
Later I had to call them about billing me twice for some charges that they said they would take care of. They never did.
After 90 days of service I called about the check and the charges that were still on my bill. They said I would not get the $100.00 til I had service with them for 6 months! The charges they said, were taken care of but it would be 2 billing periods before it would show up.
Just at 6 months of service my rate per minute went up to 14 cents. I called to inquire of this and the $100.00 check and was not able to contact them at all.
Since then it has been a big run around. I filed a complaint with my attorney generals office. No luck. They forwarded the complaint to Las Vegas, no luck there either. They said I should file the complaint with the FCC, but I'm running out of faith in these sytems that are supposed to protect the consumers rights, if you know what I mean.
