I was looking at our cell phone bill and noticed several unauthorized monthly charges relating to my 11 yr old son's cell phone. Bid 4 prizes: 8823#7010, New Motion Inc. Was one of them - two others are: SendMe: 23687#2513 m-Qube inc; another and CSW Group Limi: 71769#5455 m-Qube inc. These totalled $39.97 per month. (for 2 months, before I got it to stop).
My son says he never applied or entered his phone #, although he may have or one of his friends my have used his #. The point is all 3 were made at the same time, and he is a minor with a cell phone. Parents you need to be aware of this scam. This seems unconstitutional that company's can charge a cell phone # without any confirmation of who the person is. Any one can use any cell phone # and the charges will be added to their phone bills. I put a purchase block on all three of my cell phones and would suggest this action to other parents.
These companies need to be investigated.
