Like may others I was skeptical about this from the beginning, and had a feeling it was to good to be true. I was sent a letter stating it was from readers digest and I was the third place winner of $75,000. I noticed that the letterhead didnt coincide with the readers digest name. The letter stated that they would send me a check for the processing and legal fees for the amount of 3057.75. After which they would send me my 75,000. I called the number given and spoke with the secretary. I was given very direct instructions to cash the check not deposit it and I had a couple days to do so. I was to go to western union and wire the money to canada. Yet another flag because The letterhead was texas, not cananda, and they said this was for them so they would get taxed less. I was suppose to send it to a woman named Martha Idole on Prince Edward Island. I took the check to the bank and they hesitated at first to cash it but went thru with it anyway, not holding for ten days like they probably should since it was suspicious. I spent two days trying to contact Johnathan Scofield law office, a clearing commisary agent office with no sucess. I would get an answering machine that wouldn't allow you to leave a message. Finally I got ahold of them and they said they had received it, my check would be fed exed to me within 48 hours, and then he hung up on me. Well a day late and a dollar short I jump online to check out this company. Well this website popped up, and there was his name I dont want anyone else to fall into this trap. Since I had cashed the check, and not held onto it and deposit it into my account to wait. Guess what, Im now out the $3000 because I cashed it and theres no way for them to contact this company that screwed me. Dont let this happen to you, I feel they are getting people who have the money to cover the check after its found fraudulant, and ripping them off.
