Timeshare Owners Subjected to Sales Presentations of 2 hrs even after purchase

We are timeshare owners... Not happy to admit.in February we spent a week-end at Fairfield at the Glades. Our unit was filthy. There was crap all over the toliet seat. Soap scum all over the tub and the wall next to the whirpool timer. The kitchen was filthy. I spent hours on the phone after we arrived speaking with folks about the condition of the unit. Did they offer to move us to another unit... NO!!! After leaving complaints with the front desk the manager sent us a letter and stated the unit was unexceptable yet did they return our points... No!!!

When we bought our timeshare over 2 yrs ago we could cancel reservations within 24 hrs and have our points returned.in March of this year we scheduled a week at Wyndham at the Smokies in Sevierville. I developed a sever UTI and was placed on complete bedrest by the doctor. I am a paraplegic and UTI's are life threatening.

I called to try to cancel our reservations as medical reasons would prevent us from traveling. I was informed that we would lose our points and even though I could present them with a doctors statement they refused to give us our points back if we canceled because it was less than 15 days before the scheduled week. I spoke with a manager in the Margate office and in the beginning she was going to make a one time exception then after checking several dates to move the reservations to another date she asked if she could put me on hold. When she came back she said they could not do the exception. She had spoke with other managers and they can not do this...

They told me they would cancel the reservations and we would lose our points. I said, H... No, we are not going to lose our points. Under duress my husband and I went to the resort. We dealt with a sales rep. The second day we where there. Taking almost 2 hrs of our time. She was so nice and kind and was going to check into the situation and try to help us. Guess what? No help!

My husband, was not able to get off from work so he had to leave on Sunday. Since I was sick and was suppose to be on bedrest I could not be left alone. My daughter and grand daughter came to stay with me until the following Friday. My granddaughter missed an entire week of school which the school system did not deam reason for being absent.

My husband returned on Friday night. We had an appointment scheduled to meet with the sales rep. Again on Saturday morning at 10:00 am. She was suppose to come to our room, we waited, finally she called around 10:30 am and wanted to know where we were. Helllooooo... I'm suppose to be on complete bedrest and we are suppose to meet with her in her office.

We were again presented with another 2 hr sales presentation which took time away from my husband spending time outside the resort. Of course, there was nothing she could do about our points and then they try to sale us another timeshare. Hellooo... We had already told her as soon as we used up our points we were going to try to sale the one we already owned.

The sales rep had additional information to give to my husband so he went to her office to pick up the information. When he got to the office he was baiscally attached by three other sales reps trying to talk him into buying into their even year timeshare which we had already said no to. Taking up another 2 hrs of his time. Half the day down the drain.

PLEASE... Stay away from these folks... Don't buy into anything they tell you... It is all lies... Just to get you to purchase into their timeshare.

My husband bought into their Discovery Membership in July when we where staying at Bonnet Creek. We understood that this was an attachment to our current deed and would freeze the interest rates for a period of 2 years and give us a bonus of 300,000 points.

We got the points alright but at our horrific weekend at Fairfield at the Glades we were told by that sales rep. They should have never sold us the Discovery Membership. The Discovery Membership is for like a trial timeshare membership. Yet on the next day... She said we could take the money we had paid on that on us it in the purchase of another timeshare for even years. I said, H... No. We cut our losses and walk away.

No matter what you do, where you go, they are always there, a sales rep at every resort there who takes up hours of your time trying to sale you something else. You would think once you buy into their crap they would leave you alone but they don't. They are always there trying to sale you more and taking up your vacation time.

Stay away people... Stay away from these folks. They are liars, and they cheat people out of their money. Each sales rep tells you the other sales rep. Told you wrong... Stay away from them... Please!!! Trust me I know far more about their timeshare deals and how to use their system than even they would like for me to know. I read all the information, after spending 2 wks, 10 hrs a day trying to schedule our first vacation with them.

Their sales rep in Fairfield at the Glades said I could pass one of their test they send them frequently to check and see how well they understand their little rules, regulations, and stipulations. She told me I could sale for them. I said NO because I refuse to lie, cheat, and gain people trust into believing what you're telling them. Lies... Just lies folks. Trust me... I know way more about our timeshare than they would like for me to know. That's the reason they cornered my husband in their office in Sevierville... They thought if they could get him alone he would buy into their crap again. Nope... Not this time. Then they do us a wonderful favor and give us a $25.00 coupon for Outback Steak House... What a joke. Please don't fall for their lies.
