IADT Online They used deceptive measures to ensure my confidence in enrolling

I had been looking to further my education and was intending to persue knowledge in web design. I had been visiting different sites that I thought may have the greater potential when I was contacted by IADT. I guess they use a tracking system as I had never visited their site.

I read what they had to say and gave them contact info (phone #) so that I could further get an understanding of everything they had to offer and have a few of my questions answered as to my experience with the internet and what kind of knowledge I must have in order to get the most out of the education I was offered. I was very clear with my "student advisor" or whatever her title really is when I told her I am VERY new to the internet and am not familiar with alot of the programs such as "microsoft word, powerpoint, etc." and that as I have a great imagination, putting my vision from mind to pen and paper has never been one of my strong points.

I was reassured time and time again that I would be taught EVERYTHING I needed to know in order to achieve success in the field of web design and that there wasn't anything to worry about, all I need is to enroll and let them do what they do best. I found out that deceit is what they are VERY good at.

It wasn't until after classes actually started that I was told I now needed a scanner and like I said before I am so new to the computer I had no idea how to use the thing properly after I went out and bought the thing but I digress.

In the first week of class things were fairly simple but then comes the part when I must know the ends and outs of Microsoft Word and powerpoint. I contacted my "professor" and let her know in an email that I had never used these programs (especially powerpoint) in the manner that was needed to complete the assignments and the email I received back was that "basic knowledge of all of these programs were a required field and just keep trying! Have a nice day!" The only thing missing was a smiley face at the end of the message.

Needless to say I fell behind my classmates because I was trying to learn web design and all of the programs at the same time to no avail. The reason I opted for online classes was so I could go to work to support myself and come home to learn a new trade to take me further into the future, there was not enough time in a month much less a day to learn all of this and try to keep up finances in order to support myself.
I asked them if it would be at all possible to allow me to enroll at a later date so that I could spend some time learning "the basics" and was promptly told that wasn't an option so my only other choice was to get out when I could before I racked up a bill for an education I was never going to receive.

I realize It's only a matter of time before I begin receiving bills for this complete waste of time and energy and I realize that regardless of the scam I was involved in I will have to pay for this worthless pile of junk they consider "educational supplies" among other things.

I write this in hopes that someone else will read and hopefully not get scammed by these people. My fellow humans, BEWARE!!!
