Threatened and harrassed Mother and I until agreement of a charge of large amount of money to resolve brother's past debt

The members of this group called and harassed my elderly mother and I and lied to us about what they could and would do to our credit cards and credit rating if we did not agree to pay immediately, half of my brother's bad, outstanding debts. My mother and I agreed to pay the amount and it was charged to our credit card. None of the "clearence" papers on this agreement have come for a month and they continue to lie to us every time we call. We need help getting our money back. Thank you
