My husband has been a customer for a little over 3 years (before we were married) and has had many problems with RAC most of which gets resolved by management. He has had problems with items he has rented breaking needing service repairs to needing replacements for items that were unfixable. Certain employees have lied and said items were purchased as new when they clearly were not new and when he had them take it back and bring back a NEW item (which was stated as new on the original contract) they always charged more then original price stated. Well that is not even my biggest problem, they have been told that we work very late hours and very long hours and have moved our due dates to Mondays to accommodate our work schedule (we were very pleased when they offered that) however every Saturday morning they start calling as early as 8:30am mind you the payment is not even late yet. They will call any where from 3-7 times a day and every # they have will be called. We have paid over 15000 dollars to this company and yet that can not even be respectful enough to not call before the due date. They have violated many California RTO laws, such as disclosing information to persons other then my husband (which he is the only one listed on the contract), they have called my phone and spoke to my minor children about the acct and at one point even threatened my child. And most recently came to my home while I was out of town and spoke to my child and gave my child info about his acct. Yes the payment at that point was 3 days late, but they had also been made aware that it would be late before it even was. I have had it with the management, employees, and with them breaking the law. Can anyone tell me what they have done in this situation? I know that we can not be their only victims, and they really do need to be stopped. Oh and by the way we have priced out all the items from regular stores and the exact items all together come up to approximately $9719 we have paid that and much much more. I am not looking for anything that is not fair, but I am looking for some respect especially being that we have always paid them, and we did absolutely nothing about them reusing our credit card for a unauthorized payment (which they were not even supposed to keep on file) and to close I do believe they should be able to tell that a 80 pound child is not a adult and that it is unacceptable to speak to that child about any moneys owed or about wanting to pick up the items.
