Phoenix Remanufactured Transmissions
I was also ripped off by Phoenix Reman Transmissions and am fighting back LOOK

The best way I can describe what happened is to copy the letter I sent to them.in this letter, however, it says I want my core charge back and an extended warranty. I am actually going for core charge plus the amount to install the 2nd transmission... I no longer want to deal with this company NOR do I trust them. If their warranty is like their service, forget it!

In addition, I am also sending this because I want you all to contact the following agencies as I have done. These were suggested by PayPal although they could not help me directly since 60 days had passed (due to Phoenix dragging their feet and their numerous lies!). I will say that the woman from paypal encouraged us ALL to still file a report through them if you dealt thru paypal. She says they gather those against bussinesses and individuals and if enough, will further their investigation and possibly forward onto authorities and stop them from using their service.

Please make sure to contact the following:
IC3. GOV, Fraud.org, The Better Business Bureau, The Consumer Protection Agency, and the Attorney General's Office in Arizona (only go to the BBB online and it will redirect you to Arizona's BBB site to file). I think if we work in great numbers we just might get justice and a settlement. I've read the large number of folks posting to this site and sure hope you all come back and visit frequently for updates!

Here is my letter:
Dear Phoenix,

I purchased a BMW 750il transmission on September 24 via Ebay. The item no. Was 160160382009 and your invoice no. Of 54906. I paid for this through my PayPal account the amount of $1545.00 which included a core charge of $550.00. I have yet to receive my core charge back and there have been numerous errors on the part of your company.
It took over two weeks for me to even receive the transmission after SEVERAL phone calls to both your sales department, Andre, and your other departments. Upon receipt of the transmission the business that was to install the transmission discovered it was not the right transmission. The transmission I ordered as listed on Ebay was "89-94 BMW 4HP24 Automatic Transmission 750i 850i 750il" (V12 engine). The transmission shipped was a BMW 4HP22 for a 6 cylinder car. I called your tech department and was told by Gabriel to have the installer change the bell housing and the rear tail mount from my transmission and install the one you shipped. After installing your rebuilt transmission the installer dicovered the transmission was 2 inches shorter than the original and had to take it back out. We had to then ship my transmission back along with the incorrect transmission purchased from you and wait until your company rebuilt it thus leaving me without transportation for quite a long time. I have incurred much more in expenses since the business that installed my transmission had to install TWO transmissions plus I should not have incurred a core charge to begin with since it was MY transmission that you rebuilt!
The poor customer service, poor communication and even worse not receiving anything monetary that should've come or been communicated in a timely manner is simply not acceptable. I expect to receive my $550.00 "core charge" back within 10 days of this letter (can be done via my paypal account or a company check).in addition, an upgrade to the Platinum Warranty Coverage on my re-built transmission would only be fair due to the added labor costs and excessive vehicle down time.
On January 7th I faxed a copy of the limited transmission warranty and I am including the hard copy with this coorespondence along with a copy of Melvin's installation bill and faxes to and from your company. I want aknowledgement of this letter as soon as possible from whoever is in charge of Phoenix Transmission. If I do not receive acknowledgement and some sort of compromise to my demise, I will be contacting e-bay, Paypal, The Attorney
General's office and the Better Business Bureau with the anticipation of possible legal pursuit.
