Our Women's Organization ordered a stamp from Stampman.com at my recommendation. I had ordered with success previously and had no problem ordering or receiving my stamp. However, when I ordered for the church, they took my order and then refused phone calls, faxes, and finally, I got my bank involved.
When my bank phoned them and somehow reached them regarding this problem, they refunded the money to my account, but my real concern is, who are these people? Why were they allowed to operate for so long when they do have a negative history with the BBB?
Additionally, when I was having my problems with them, they indicated on the website that they were a few days behind in processing, not weeks or months. Who keeps watch over these dot com businesses anyway? Is there any monitoring of these companies?
Oh, I failed to mention, after the bank retrieved my money (because I was not trusting and had a gut level instinct that something was very wrong early on) they refunded the money to my account and they sent a stamp some time later. The stamp was defective and could not be used. I sent an e-mail stating that I would only return the useless stamp if they sent a postage paid envelope for its return. How disgusting.
The church did eventually order another stamp and I have simply been stupefied that the website is still up and able to deceive countless other unsuspecting victimsl
How can we get them off of the internet for good??? My regrets to all who never received their money or a product.
