I was lied to from the day I spoke with Chasity Perry (placement coordinator)
I called about the LPN courses looking to see what schools were offering and which will be best for me. Well I was told that the MOA was the same as LPN but better, unlike LPN I am able to work in hospital settings due to me having backoffice experience. I met with her and tested and she was explaining how accredited that they were and how they were affiliated with Washington University and I could transfer my credits. Aug I enrolled in MOA.
Now these are ten week courses with a time consuming and money grabbing course squeezed in between every Wed in which it was designed to help us prepare and be ready to SELL OURSELVES, what a joke. Well 1st ten weeks was basic terminolgy and the teacher that we had was new and as fast as she came in as fast as she left. Well fired due to not TEACHING but giving us the answers, not using the books and oh yeah giving as the test questions the day before word-for-word question-by question. Her main objective was her smoke break.
Next ten weeks we were in Courtney class billing and coding I and it was alot of drama. From students and teachers wanting to fight and car tires getting slashed.in this class it was nothing but parting all night loud talking all we were missing was music and booze. She was fired.
Next ten weeks Carol and all she did was eat and we were in Medical Math did not open a book use a ruler calculator or anything we only covered roman numerals and some fractions all that were on copied paper. Then she quit and went to another school.
We had employees' who were stealing money from the loans and school was Mon-Fri but we tested Thurs and don't come Fri. Job placement coordinator was hired fired and quit so many times we did not get to get any job placement everytime we set up a file we have to do it over. We changed coordinators like we changed teachers. When we did get a call for a job placement it was for FED-X and UPS. They had job fairs not for nusing all the jobs were not for nursing. So why have a nursing department. I had ordered uniforms that were entirely too big and they did not exchange said I was stuck with them. Then the course that we had to take every Wed that we were charged for we did not ever open the book we were to take notes word-for-word then every like 3rd Wed we take a test with the notes that we took from overhead.
I don't feel that I got the Education that $20,000 in loans went towards. Every teacher was fired, in exception to A. Johnson, due to not teaching or complying with Co policy. Books that I was charged for in several of my classes that I did not even open and I was charged for them. Then I graduated and took the Associates and we did not have any supplies we needed we were limited with everything. We were to have a blood drive and that was a no go. It was a scam and they got me good. I was promise to make so much and I make more as a CNA than a MA. I have a degree and credits I can't use.
