If you Dont Ask, They wont Tell! Magnolia

About 2 weeks ago I recieved my bank statement from Citizens Bank stating that I was -$2 in my account. I was puzzled because I have overdraft protection which draws it right from my savings. I was also told that this was a "No maintenance account." So before I could even investigate, I was sent a letter stating that I was $72 overdrawn. I called to find out why. They said that after being in the negitive for 6 days, they charge a finance fee of $35. I asked where was my notice? They said I should have recieved one, but I never did.

So, I asked why was my account overdrawn $2 in the first place and they said I was charged $2 for a balance inquiry. I never payed for a balance inquiry in my entire life! When I opened the account I was told that if I "withdraw money" from a non-Citizens Bank ATM that I would be charged a fee, not if I got a balance inquiry. I told that to the customer service representative and to their manager and I was shocked at what they said next. The manager said that if I don't ask, then they won't tell me!

I read through my paper work and did not find written down anywhere that If I made an inquiry, that I would be charged, No bank does that! So after 5 more calls to the bank, they agreed to credit my account $35. Thanks Citizens Bank, Thanks for nothing!!! I still owe $37 and I should not owe anything at all! I will be closing my account!
