Liberty International Marketing - Texas International Promotions
Scam! Wasted my day, didn't pay for gas, found out it was commission only and it was a fraudulant non-profit organization

I just went through the craziest day of my life. I got an opportunity to work for a marketing company that turned out to be a scam. On Tuesday 12/11/07,1:15pm I got an interview with Liberty International Marketing (which lasted like 10 minutes), the manager told me that there would be a second interview if he called me at 5:30pm. I got it.

The next day 12/12/07,9:00am at the interview I found out that I would be going to Midlothian for some kind of a training/observation day. We ended up going in one car for this 2nd inteview (observation day) to a truck stop to sell some spray wax for cars, barbie books, Haitat for Humanity shirts and other cheap junk. Oh, and they also asked for different amounts for these products to rip off customers. And we're supposed to tell people that all the money recieved goes to Toys for Tots, Injured Vets of America, and Habitat for Humanity while all the money being made was being pocketed by the trainer; I mean in a legit company they have a lock box or something for the proceeds.

At lunch I found out that it was commission only. We were supposed to show people how the spray works on there cars but no one would buy anything, only like five items where sold in nine hours. Oh and by the way the temp was 35 degrees and it was raining, they didn't offer to pay for lunch, and we didn't get paid for gas or our time. And also they have gone by many other names like Zephyr Marketing, Texas International Promotions, and many more (legit companies don't change their names unless something criminal is going on, especially like 5 times).

I went to their website libertyinternationalmarketing.com last night and it wouldn't open, went to their website today and it worked but they no longer have Toys for Tots or DARE America as some of their clients. Oh and I went to Toys for Tots website didn't see this company as a client. I really want to do something about it because it makes me mad when people use non-profit organizations to make them money.

They're thieves! The office is in Arlington, Texas by the way. I'm probably going to call some of these companies and ask if they are clients and probably going to let the authorities know. So if you see this company on careerbuilder.com or any other job site avoid it and don't go in for an interview like I did! I've done promotions for legit marketing companies for years and never seen anything like this. Anyways if anyone out there has gone through this let me know.
