Is expensive and abominable

If you have never had Comcast I would urge you to never get it. They rope people in with great deals and then they raise their rates in the stratosphere once they've got you. And then, if anything breaks, you're really in for a hosing. My land line stopped working almost a month ago. Phone dead and if anyone tries to call me, they get a busy signal. So, I unplugged all the phones and still the same problem with incoming calls.

So, I called Comcast and got some fast talking woman in India who kept insisting I check the back up batteries on my phone (despite my repeatedly telling her they were all unplugged) until I finally hung up. Tried again the next day. They sent someone out two days later. He "fixed" the problem for $29.95. It didn't last a week.

I've had no phone service for four days. I called Comcast from work and after ten minutes on hold, hung up. I had a friend call them so they could call me on my cell phone (it costs me $1.50 a minute to call an 800 number). After explaining the entire problem to this guy about my phone, he asked me how many lights were on on my modem! I retold him the problem was with my phone. He then said he would transfer me to the right person.

Two and a half minutes on hold and I finally hung up. Last night, I used the cell phone, called comcast and told them to call me back so it wouldn't cost me an arm and a leg.By now, the guy also wanted a payment, which I always pay by phone, but since I didn't have a land line, I hadn't paid it. So, I paid both cable and phone bills and he didn't call me back.

So, today, I called from work and asked to speak to a supervisor. The woman wanted all kinds of information and then told me my phone had been shut off for non-payment! How do you shut something off that isn't working? I demanded to speak to a supervisor. She refused until I gave her a payment! Since I paid with a credit card 24 hours ago, I refused and hung up. I called back and am now trying to get through to a supervisor vis-a-vis the internet service. I have typed this entire complaint and read two emails while I've been on hold. As soon as my phone is fixed, I'm dumping this fraudulent company and will bad mouth them to my dying day.
