Just Give Us Money Bastards from Ripoff Hell (in the worst ways)

This is one of the letters I wrote to thesse conartists.
(Without any type of reply out of them... Again.

My name is Michael. I am disputing over the fact that I don't believe that I should be charged cancellation fees regarding these two telephone accounts. I have contacted a manager at your Texas branch and told her my dilemmas in using your cell phones and the type of service that I was getting with the carrier that you are using. I am disgusted with the service I was getting.

Let me start from the beginning, I was with Sprint PCS and liked their service very well, but in Royal, where I live Sprint doesn't work. That is when I received a flyer in the mail from Worldcom to switch. I made it very clear on the phone that if I wasn't satisfied with these phones I could send them back.

These phones didn't work at my house, but I didn't change because they worked just as much as Sprint did, but with better priced packages. I was mistaken. These phones are horrendous, my wife and I have had a ton of dropped calls.

No, I don't mean out in the country or where there shouldn't be service I understand that. These dropped calls that I'm complaining about is right inside major cities with Cingular service, for say Hot Springs, AR and Little Rock, AR.

My wife or I will have full service, and will be talking and all of a sudden the call is dropped. Immediately when
that happens we have looked at our phones and it will have full service or sometimes no service where previously the day before had full service. To prove this point please look at our cell phones and count the amount of one minute calls these phones have had and at the closeness of times these calls were made.

This also means that even though you say we're able to use our phones enough because we're over our minutes doesn't mean we're getting good service. It just means we have to call people back a lot and are being overcharged on minutes. I'm not a stupid man and know that each time you pick your phone up and dial that the first second you're on that phone it's a minute. I hope that's not the kind of service and satisfaction you're willing to stand behind because that's not good business.

On the billing part I know it is my word against yours, but the month of March the bill on my wife's phone, it was particular high. I know you'll say that's correct because a phone is marked with the ESN and only shows the calls that phone has particularly made. Well on the other hand my wife was on maternity leave and was at home that whole month taking care of my newborn baby girl born in Feb., and like I said before these phones DO NOT work at my house and that's where she was at.

There's also another dilemma, my phone will be sitting around me or on my belt clip, and all of a sudden I'll here people yelling or talking out of my phone. The keypad lock WILL be on and my phone would have called somebody, seriously. I don't know how this happens, but when I have gotten one of these unusual calls or whatever you would call it, after I've hung up I would look to see if the keypad lock was on. The keypad lock is on and I'll try to push buttons, and it wouldn't let me. I would have to unlock the phone and then dial back. Yes, I do
have witnesses to these occurrences.

There's more. I've talked to your Customer Service to try to resolve these matters and was sent to talk to Technical Support for Worldcom. Wholeheartedly I like a joke as good as the other, but when you've been on the
phone for over two hours and it's ten o' clock, several different times for several different reasons you start to get peeved off. Especially when the tech you're talking to says he doesn't know anything else to do and puts you on hold, for another forty-five minutes. I call back and what do you know Worldcom is CLOSED! That's not funny.

Even with these occurrences I have paid my bill on time or shortly after, generally because it was a large
bill and couldn't afford it. This is costing me to disconnect and like I said I'm not stupid, but if I were to pay this cancellation fee it's just like taking five $100 bills, a lighter, and burning them. What kind of idiot would you be to do that!?! I've paid my bills to you, I've talked to customer and tech support, and haven't gotten anything resolved, in short I'm pissed off. If this is the type of business you people are running than all I've got to say is the best
advertisement is Word of mouth, but the same is true of the worst advertisement.
