Great Expectations has vastly charged ($1,225 to be exact) beyond the legal limit for its services. Great expectations has violated every mandate of the Dating Service Law, except for one, the provision of a three-day cooling-off right to cancel.
Where as Great Expectations, the dating service does not assure it will furnish a client with a specified number of social referrals per month, the service may charge no more than twenty-five dollars. The Dating Services Law regulates social referral services, which it defines as any service for a fee providing matching members of the opposite sex, by use of computer or any other means, for the purpose of dating and general social contact.
Great Expectations has not provided me the dating services as expected. Many of its social events in November and December were cancelled. The few events that did actually take place, mostly contained women who were well out of my age range.
As a result, I put my membership on freeze and request all of my money back from Great Expectations. Great Expectations then told me that they would refuse to cancel my membership, unless I stop requesting a refund and that there was no chance that I would recieve a refund under any circumstances.
