When I first called U of P I was not called back after leaving several messages. I should have saw this as a sign. When they did reach me the talked me into enrolling that same day by rushing me into it, like the were car salesmen. Axia makes you take courses that do not transfer such as three extensive writing classes and information technology that was completely BS and had no point to it. I did not realize how bad this school was unti lI was almost done with my first year with them. I had transferred in 12 credits keep in mind. When asking questions about my financial aide, they guy had no clue what he was talking about ad gave me wrong information. I tried calling over a period of two weeks with no return phone calls. I submitted my FAFSA the best I could without becuase it was overdue and tried calling him again, still no answer for two weeks unti lI sent him a mena email saying how disturbed I was that he never called me. I asked for his supervisors email and number. No phone call or response back from him either! Un fortuantely becuase many of these clases do not transfer I am forced to stay with this school and finish my degree otherwise I a back at square one. They know this and this is how students will continue to stay. I cannot afford to prolong getting my degree, they feed of this knowledge. For someon who is paying $950 a class where you really teach yourself the customer service should be way better.
My biggest complaint comes from the Math 116 class I just started. They expect you to sow all your work in Word and Excel, many issues involving this... The format has not been right, etc etc. I have spent more time on the phone with tech support and tryin to figure out how to submit my work than actually paying attention to my classes. Not to mention that Algebra 1 is split into two courses that really transfer to only one class! So we are paying $1800 for one algebra class!
Please keep in mind I only have a cell phone and I pay for ALL phone calls to my counselors and tech support! I hate this school for wasting my time and money. I never wish ayon to go there and wish we could close it down. They are not out for the students best interests.
