In 1998 I paid of my BNB Visa and paid off the loan I had with Beneficial. I recently go a credit report and saw the both accounts on the report.
Apparently whwn I paid off & CLOSED the Visa accountBNB slapped a late charge after the fact and continued to put late charges on for months thereafter. I wrote a letter back in 1999 for them to clear it up and they said they would remove the charges. After recently getting another report, I show both accounts still there.
Is there now remedy to this? I am going to write the credit bureaus and hope they will remove the accounts.
