I fell upon hard times this past summer, and was faced with getting a loan to pay of some debt. I received a $2600 loan from Cash call, which seemed to be the best and easiest way for me to go with not-so-perfect - credit. I called the company to find out how much my pay-off was. To my surprise, it was higher than the actual loan and I've made a few payments!
The rep from cashcall told me $8.55 has been applied to my principal aftter 3 payments of $216.00!!! I was floored. I can not believe this is what I"m paying for. They are seriously ripping people off. I thought this was a descent option because they report the the Credit Bureau's and thought this wouold improve my credit by making on-time payments etc. Not I feel as I am stuck in this because I don't want any negative marks on my report. I don't have a problem with paying my debts, but this is ridiculous.
I totally feel as I have been taken advantage of in this situation. They paint a great picture, tell you what you want to hear. I thought this would be better than cash advances because of the one monthly payment, instead of the multiple monthly payments some other companies charge. I hope something happens to this place and they are shut down, so others are not subject to the same reaction and disappointment I feel right now.
