Hello, I need your help. I was shown, and attempted to be sold a Kirby vacuum, with floor care kit and miracle wax. The demonstrator came into my home and asked if he could show me a product that would make my hardwood floors shine, and be beautiful. I allowed him to wax and buff a large section of my hardwood floors.
Upon doing this it did look good, but as soon as you walked on it, it would smudge, scuff, leave foot prints, etc. Before I realized that the wax would do this, I waxed the remainder 800 sq. Ft. Of my home.
When I called the Kirby Company of Pueblo and asked them about this, I was informed that in the 20 years that they had been in business, they had never had a complaint about the wax, and the waxing of hardwood flooring, and that it was in my mind.
I asked them to send someone to view my floor for them self, which they did, and this person agreed that my floors were damaged. When I confronted the owner about fixing the situation of my floor, they said it was my problem and that I would have to take it up with Kirby International. I did just that, I was then told by their complaint department, that it was my fault, and to go down to home depot and get a wax stripper and get it off.
Then they came to get their vacuum, which I immediately can celled the contract on, as was told the my floors were not real. I have red oak hard wood floors, confirmed by a floor care professional. What I am hoping you can help me with is I need a certified floor inspector to inspect my floors, to prove one yes they are real wood floors, and that you are not suppose to wax them, which Kirby Company of Pueblo did, and represented that you are suppose to do so.
If you can't help me I hope you can give me idea of who can. The damage has been estimated at about $3000 possible more... Thank you.
