I should have followed my instincts when I received the first call from Denise of Castle Resorts. I was not sold on her sells tactic, unfortunately my husband was. When Denise frist called our home we heard from her everyday. Once she received our payment of $1,053.92 we never heard from her again. Every time I called to find out the status of our timeshare we could never get through to her. I left voicemail after voicemail messages on her phone. She never returned not one call.
I went to Castle Resorts website where they have a Customer Service page where I could email my question. I put my information in and received an email reply from them with a support ticket number and a message that "a representative will get back to you shortly." "If you wish to send additional information regarding this ticket reply to this email." I replied to "this email" only to see that the ticket number was dated 12/31/1969.
In answer to the second email I received another support ticket number and it was dated 12/31/1969. Is this blatant fraud or what? I did not sign on with these people until July13. On September 6, I wrote a letter to Castle Resorts and asked for a refund. I called Castle Resorts and an operator said that Mr. Fowler would get back to me, of course he never did.
Finally on September 24 I get a call that made me very angry. A Tim Viner calls me to tell me that Castle Resorts International has gone bankrupt and I can't get my money back. He gives us this pitch how he is going to continue to advertise my timeshare for the next six months. Somethinig to do with saving his own hide.
Tim said that he was going to advertise our timeshare with Destinations Cafe without charge. Who the heck they are is beyond me. I can't find them on the internet. Tim was supposed to email me as soon as he hung up from the call. Need I sat that he never emailed me with the information regarding this six month advertising bull and I don't have contact information for him. As far as I am concerned Tim Viner, Walter Fowler and Denise should be locked up in jail and the key should be thrown away.
How they can get away with this scam is beyond me. I will pursue them to try to get my money back. There must be something that can be done to stop these people from stealing money from innocent people.
