After cancelling order & it was confirmed and they shipped it anyway. Would not respond to emails or phone calls. Finally told me I had to pay shipping both ways ($510) Chair cost $599

8/09/07- Placed order on line for Takemi Vista Comfort 3000 chair for my husbands birthday.

8/10/07 - Recieved a phone call stating you no longer carried the beige and only had black. I told him I could not use black. He said he would check to see if he could find a beige and call me back. I told him if I did not hear from him by Monday Aug 13th that I would need to cancel the order as it was a birthday gift.

8/12/07 - I Sent an Email to cancel the order received no confirmation
At this point I ordered a chair from another source.

8/13/07 - I sent another email of cancellation... A little stronger this time.

8/14/07 - I called sales to triple confirm cancellation. They said non problem.

8/25/07 - I discovered this had been charged to my credit card. I immediately sent an email and asked why my card had been charged.

8/26/07 - I received a phone call confirming cancellation and assurance that the charges would be removed.

9/4/07 - I received a phone call from the shipping company setting up delivery.
I thought it was for the other chair I had ordered.

9/5/07 - Delivery made and accepted. It was in a box so I did not open it at the time. When my husband got home he opened it and that is when I discovered that it was from Takemi.

9/6/07 - I called Takemi Sales and Steve referred me to this email [email protected] to lodge a complaint and straighten this out as to how to get it back to them.

9/6/07 I sent email as suggested and heard no response.

9/7/07 I called again and Steve told me that the eamail had been received and was on the proper persons desk. So, I sent another email and still no response.

9/10/07-Sent yet another email. Still no response.

9/11/07-Called customer service again. The only one I can ever get to talk to is Steve.
Very pleasant and sympathetic but that is not solving the problem. Again, Robert is not available. Steve said he would relay the message to him again and advised trying him before11:30AM, which is 8:30 my time.

9/13/07- Sent another Email' Told them I was going to send the chair back COD if I did not hear from them this week. Still no response. Now I decided to wait a day or 2 to see what would happen.

9/17/07- Called again. Spoke to Steve again. He was appalled that Robert had not contacted me yet. I told him if I didn't hear from Robert by the next day I was going to ship the chair back COD.
He said he would talk to him again and tell him to call me.

9/21/07- Called again, this time I spoke to someone in Sales. He referred the call to Mike or Steve (I believe they are the same person. FINALLY got a call back. Don't really know who I was talking to, Mike or Steve, because this person was so rude he wouldn't let me talk. Said he answered every emaila big lie. I never received an email. Threatened me that if I sent the chair back he would not only charge me with the return shipping but would charge me for original shipping charges. Hmmmm, I am supposed to pay for their mistake?
He told me to send him emails I had to prove I cancelled the order, which I did. Now let'e see what will happens.

9/22/07- Mike calls me back. He is the rudest person I have ever encountered in business. He will NOT let you talk. He has to do all the talking and repeats himself several times. He pulls a filibuster! He stated he would send me the paperwork to return the chair but I would have to pay shipping charges both ways (approximately $450) In addition, if the box was damaged or taped in any way he would refuse it and I would still end up paying the shipping and would not get my refund. Of course there was tape on the box. It was there when I received it! I was so angry I nearly ended up in the hospital after hanging up on him. I am 70 years old and have high blood pressure and I was sick after this.
