I received a certified letter today from these yahoos claiming they're taking my husband to arbritration for a cell phone bill in excess of $1000.00. After numerous phone calls from these people over the past year, we still have not received an "itemized" bill (as requested) showing how a cell phone bill could be that excessive considering we currently pay $60-$70 a month for our cell phone bills.
They claim the contract was default in June & they purchased the contract in November. Every conversation we've had with them ends with their own collectors agreeing that the bill is excessive & outrageous. They always claim to have no access to itemization or signed contracts. During one conversation my husband told them that the numerous phone calls were harrassment (up to 5X a day) & he was going to start charging then $100 every time they called him. Within the hour, they called back. As a joke, my husband offered that person $100 & a job to collect from their own company.
I've already checked with both the Florida Division of Corporations & the Division of Finance and found that they are not licenses nor listed on either website. I cannot afford an attorney to handle this so what can I do to put a stop to these leaches?
