So glad I found this site almost went back for the trial day! What a Shady business! Ripoff Internet

It didn't take long for me to find some bad things written about Universal Online Promotions. As a matter of fact, all I did was google it and came up with so many horrible things written about the company. I'm very glad that I did my homework.

I graduated from college a year ago and the job search has been unbearable. It's sad to say, but companies like this exist all over the place. I've become an expert at reading people's bulls*t and think of myself as a "professional interviewer."

Right off the bat I was suspicious about the job posting because it was on Monster.com. Not to say that this is not a viable website, however I've found in my experiences that it's mostly utter crap advertised. So, I sent a cover letter and resume to Universal Online Promotions. Within a couple of days I got a call, didn't get a chance to return the call, and they called me again... Leaving two voicemails. Ding Ding Ding! Desperation was the first word I thought of. But being so desperate for a career myself, I kept hope alive thinking it may actually be something legitimate.

Finally, I decided to go on the interview. Let me say this, even the doorman gave me a bad vibe. That had to be some sort of sign. Upon reaching the office I saw a brightly lit room with loud contemporary music playing. "Must be a cool place to work." Yeah... Right.
I didn't meet with Raf Diaz, but rather with a small foreign man who I had a difficult time understanding half the time in the interview. The promises of growth, 401K and unlimited opportunities was mentioned of course. Though, they failed to mention I would achieve this my conning other people the way I was being conned. After the interview they told me I would get a phone call at the end of the day to see if I was being considered for a second interview. However, very smoothly, it was mentioned that if I did not recieve a call it was their polite way of saying "no thank you." Verrrryyyyyy smart, make me think I might not get the job, so when I actually do get the call which I would have gotten anyway, I jump on it and think it's a legitimate job.

That is NOT an interview process, legitimate companies take days and weeks to fill their positions with the proper candidates.

Many companies do this, they sugarcoat a position in order to get people in there to do their dirty work.
"Account Executive"= Door to door salesman. "You can open your own office someday"= You can one day have the opportunity to bulls*t others the way you are being bulls*ted right now.

A company is supposed to look after anyone who is motivated and loyal to making business. Universal Online Promotions seeks people to sell their crap. After meeting with so many companies who make a position seem what it is not, I've become a self-proclaimed expert at these things.

I just want to thank everyone else who has posted things about the company. I even considered going in for a trial day, which I'm most definetely will not do now.
To anyone who comes across this posting and all the others, take my advice and everyone else's. Stay away from this company and every other company that even remotely participates in similar tactics. Trust your instincts as well, don't fall for someone else's crap, trust yourself.
