Teach Me Foreclosure & Real Estate Investing - Wealth Intelligence Academy
Deceptive Sales Seminar marketed as 3 Day Foreclosure Training ripoff

I just attended a three-day seminar titled Teach Me Foreclosure in Las Vegas, Nevada. I signed up for this course after attending a 90-minute teaser conference three weeks prior. The teaser presentation was well done and the previews and description for the course did sufficiently imply that the true value of this course was a legitimate value of $2995.

However, since this is a new course offering, those who signed up during the presentation would be offered a considerable discount in price. This was for a limited time only and it was implied the price would be back to $2995 soon.

I signed up and received a course book on foreclosure and was recommended to go through the book prior to the three-day seminar to be better prepared for the information that would be presented in the workshop.

The book does provide a good reference manual for those who want basic foreclosure information. I called ahead to ask for a course curriculum for the Teach Me Foreclosure and was directed to the Wealth Intelligence Academy website and told I could get it there. This course was not listed. If perspective students knew the actual curriculum prior to registering for this course, they would likely NOT sign up!

There were about 120 students in attendance for this three day seminar. The instructor had 25 plus years of active Real Estate investing experience. One interesting statement made was that the Wealth Intelligence Academy puts about 26,000 students through courses every month around the country. What is extremely misleading is that nearly the entire second day of this seminar is spent describing in detail all of the various Advanced Training courses offered by the Wealth Intelligence Academy and how important it is to attend these courses if you want to be successful. The psychological pressure applied is similar to what you might expect at a car dealership. I am sure those in attendance did not appreciate spending the second day in a sales presentation rather than learning the foreclosure information that we expected to learn.

On the third day there was a noticeably smaller attendance as I expected. The third day did provide more useful information and the instructor did go over some personal deals he had completed as examples. Overall, I left feeling that I still need more knowledge to be a successful real estate investor (this is made evident with each transition to a new catagory that was covered) although I was leery to sign up for more with the Wealth Intelligence Academy.

This course is definitely NOT a $2995 value and is certainly deceptive in being described as a three-day foreclosure training course.
